| Before Correlative | Berwind Group is a holding company that owns and manages multinational manufacturing, real estate and financial companies. Berwind Group server infrastructure and token ring network routinely suffered from network failures and slow performance. Berwind Group required an network infrastructure reassessment and overhaul. |
| How Correlative Helped |
Correlative was selected to assess every component of Berwind Group and its subsidiary’s network infrastructure, design a plan to upgrade the infrastructure and implement this redesign. Correlative migrated Berwind Group’s token ring network to a switched 100MB ethernet infrastructure. Remote office locations were linked with T1 and frame relay WAN links. Internet access was establish via Firewall-1 proxy/firewalls and Sun workstations. After the migration project’s completion, Correlative’s team was responsible for managing all network administration responsibilities and future enhancements. |
