Correlative was selected to assess every component of United Capital Credit's network infrastructure, design a plan to upgrade the infrastructure and implement this redesign.
Correlative migrated the company's servers to highly fault-tolerant HP ProLiant servers and implemented Compaq Insight Manager 7 to monitor and manage the servers. The company's Windows NT domain was upgraded to Windows 2003 and Active Directory. The network infrastructure was optimized to communicate only via TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP. In order to improve the network layer's reliability and security, Cisco Catalyst, router and PIX firewalls were deployed.
All workstations were upgraded to Windows 2000 and XP to provide a more reliable desktop platform. IntelliMirror was implemented to enforce a consistent workstation image and ensure that all applications associated to the users are available at any given workstation.
Correlative developed and implemented a customer accounts system in Lotus Domino 6 to replace the company's existing document-based system.
After the migration project’s completion, Correlative’s team was responsible for managing all network administration responsibilities and future enhancements. |
